Students in the writing class wrote descriptions of their favorite rooms.
My Bedroom By Merita
My favorite room is my bedroom. It is a beautiful room with my favorite colors. When I am studying in the office room and I get tired I go to this room for relaxing. These rooms are close and almost similar. If you will go there after climbing stairs you need to take left to get these rooms. But the reason why I like more the first one is a combination which I did for it.The walls are painted on a regular basis with red and yellow. These colors are my favorite colors. They make me to feel more positive and with energy. Especially in the winter time when everything outside is without colors so I feel like I am under the blue skies in room. My bedroom set is black which makes contrast with the red on the wall. I decided to find the window curtains with black stripes. It was a good idea because the combination is awesome. Also, when I went to the store I found the sculpture of the Eiffel Tower. Paris is city of the love, so these are a good symbol of the love in my bedroom. The red color, the vase with roses and the sculpture of Eiffel Tower make my bedroom the favorite room for me. I am working with some pictures and I will hang these on the face of the red wall. When I look at these colors and the objects on my bedroom I think it is an art room.

In our afternoon writing class, students wrote narrative stories about memorable experiences.
While My Mom Took a Nap By Isabel Aguilar
One day when I was a child, I had an unfortunate experience. I was around 9 years old
when that happened. I remember when my mom came home so tired and nobody else
was in there, except me, and my mom told me seriously “I’m so tired and I need
to take a nap”. She asked me, “Would you like to come to take a nap with me? if
not, please be quiet and be careful with anything you do!” I said, “ok I want to
take a rest with you,” but as soon as she fell to sleep I woke up very slowly
and without any noise to avoid waking up my mom. While my mom was sleeping, I
went outside to play around my favorite tree which was bigger than the others.
After a few minutes, I came up with a great idea that always I want to do, and I
thought this moment is my opportunity to climb up on the tree because all the
time my mom told me “don't do that. It is not safe and it is very dangerous for
everybody to climb the tree.” For this reason I felt a little frustrated because
I really want to do that but it was the moment to do it because I had to take
advantage that nobody was at home and my mom was sleeping so I started to climb
and climb the tree and everything was good and fun but soon some idea came to
my mind, if I could hang from the tree like a monkey it would be amazing but on
the first try I didn't succeed and I fell down very awful. I felt a lot pain on
my butt. I was screaming and asked for help but nobody answered me, so I was
sitting on the ground for long time to relieve the pain and stop crying. After
that I went back very slowly with a lot of pain and unhappiness. I was lying
down near my mom on her bed. I didn't tell her anything about my awful
experience because I didn't want to hear, “I told you!” and finally I slept
quickly.
When your parents tell you something, you have to hear what they say because it is
the only way to keep safe.
I Lost My Orange Fish by Ranju Marhatta
Last month in December, one of my husband’s friends gave me a fish. The fish was
orange color and tiny. I took it home. I felt my kids will enjoy seeing the
fish. They enjoyed it. After a week, I changed the fish water. When I was home,
the fish moved. Then we went shopping because the day was my daughter’s
birthday. After shopping we went back home. My son he ran to see the fish. He
said,”the fish is sleeping”. I noticed the fish stayed in one place. I shook the
fish pot, but the fish didn’t move. I felt the fish died. Actually the fish was
dead. Then I tried to remember what I did. I gave food in the morning. I didn’t
do the wrong thing butIi felt so sad. My daughter wasn’t happy either. I told
her, " Don’t worry today is the last for his life." She said in a sad voice,”My
birthday.” I was sad, but I didn’t show my sadness. Now I lost my fish. When I see
the pot, we all remember our fish.
